Applications available for $500 Scholarship
The Louisville Chapter will provide a
$500 scholarship to a qualifying undergraduate or graduate level student in
April 2006. Applications will be accepted from Bellarmine University,
Indiana University Southeast, University of Louisville, Sullivan University,
Spalding University, and McKendree College. To qualify students must:

Carry a minimum of 6 credit hours in an
Accounting or Finance courses for the semester or quarter to which the
funds are to be applied.

Intend to pursue a career in the
Financial/Accounting profession after graduation.

Have a declared major or emphasis in
Finance or Accounting or in a related field, which will lead to an
Accounting/Financial career.

Have an academic grade point average of
3.0 or higher on a 4.0 maximum scale, including transfer credits.

Provide an essay
(approx. 400 words or less) discussing how you have applied an accounting
or finance topic in your job. If you have not had any relevant work
experience, discuss how you expect to apply a specific topic.

The recipient will have attained junior
standing.
The Louisville Chapter Scholarship
Committee welcomes student involvement in this outstanding educational
opportunity. All qualifying students are strongly encouraged to compete for
this Scholarship opportunity.
Our Chapter membership has raised
$5,852.60 to date for this program to benefit our student members. Our goal
is to create a base amount of $10,000 by December 31, 2006. If you know of
a potential foundation that may be willing to donate to our scholarship fund

continued help in supporting this educational program is greatly
