Student Applications available for $500 Scholarship

 

The Louisville Chapter will provide a $500 scholarship to a qualifying undergraduate or graduate level student each April.  Applications will be accepted from Bellarmine University, Indiana University Southeast, University of Louisville, Sullivan University, Spalding University, and McKendree College.  To qualify students must:

  • Carry a minimum of 6 credit hours in an Accounting or Finance courses for the semester or quarter to which the funds are to be applied.

  • Intend to pursue a career in the Financial/Accounting profession after graduation.

  • Have a declared major or emphasis in Finance or Accounting or in a related field, which will lead to an Accounting/Financial career.

  • Have an academic grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 maximum scale, including transfer credits.

  • Provide an essay (approx. 400 words or less) discussing how you have applied an accounting or finance topic in your job.  If you have not had any relevant work experience, discuss how you expect to apply a specific topic. 

  • The recipient will have attained junior standing.
